These two years, the world has been turned upside down. Some might have lost some, some might have lost it all, and some might have found more to cherish. As we fight the war or the pandemic or survive different transitions in life, we are putting on more masks to cover or protect ourselves. In the quiet nights, it is time to unmask oneself and look into the mirror and look inside yourself, reconnect with yourself again and ask if you are doing okay, slow down your breathing, slow down your heartbeat and breathe in the music, one note by another and let it vibrate through your organs and flow out through your nostrils again. There is always another you in you and music will help you find that voice inside of you. Perhaps it is your instinct, your six senses, your consciousness, whatever it is, it is all part of you that makes you beautiful, gentle and peaceful.
On a personal note, I once listened to this music on Spotify without knowing the composer of the music, we searched and found out that it was a piece of music by Arvo Part, an Estonian composer. I wondered "where is Estonia?" Just like that, I booked a flight to Talinn and had the most magical Northern trip, from Talinn to Finland and had an encounter with the Northern Lights over the Finnish lakes. Most beautiful encounter is the least expected one. I hope you find moments like this in your life or at least in music learning!
